Life in the Haley House

So I have always wanted to have something pointless to waste my time on and so I've decided to share this little blog about my children as they grow up. People always ask me about what is going on in the lives of my babies so I think this will be the solution.

Alina is 2 years old and is absolutely beautiful. She has become incredibly verbal and very intelligent for her age. She has recently learned the words "breakfast", "lunch" and "dinner." Breakfast means cereal and lunch always means a sandwhich. Dinner simply means that she in hungry and it is evening time.
She is also very excited about the recent additions to her wardrobe. She went to visit "BaBa" and "Papa" in South Carolina for a week and a half and came back with a bunch of character shirts that they made for her including Big Bird, Kermit the Frog, Blue, Po, "Cookie Monisner" (Monster), Bob, Larry and Larry boy. It took me a whole week to figure out that she was saying "Larry Boy" instead of "Bob" when she wanted to watch veggie tales. And, it took that same whole week to discover that "Ice Age" was being said with the correct name instead of "Fish." (No idea why it was ever fish though...)

Raziel is getting big as well. He's almost got the crawling down pat but isn't quite there. He gets up on all fours and then lays back on his stomach and reaches. If he could just get em done at the same time, we'd be in business. But, the more time he takes, the more time I have to keep up with my babies. Only one being mobile is enough for now.
He also has learned a new ability -- thanks to my mom and his sitter. He can feed himself a bottle. This is wonderful. I get up in the morning, fix a quick bottle and give it to him, then go get his sister up so I can change diapers and outfits and do morning chores without worrying about feeding him.

Life is good.

  1. Alina also can say bunny raggit. I thought "b"'s would be easy for her, but it is NOT rabbit, but bunny raggit. She loves saying big words whenever she can. Cookie Monster (though Monster is a little garbled), Big Bird is Yellow Duck (I think), Kitty Cat. Her new phrase she started at our house was "just a minute" which she probably heard more than she wanted too. She would say it to us, then go somewhere and come back. Maybe it was "be right back." Alisha knows.
